Male' - 15:15 - A second letter was sent to the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to the Maldives this morning by the family of the murdered Hussain Salah in an attempt to avert the possibility that a post-mortem may be conducted in Male' without their consent. In the letter, the family requested the Sri Lankan government for intervention and assistance in the matter citing the reasons for their pea.

The family say that contrary to claims by Maldives Foreign Minister Dr. Shaheed, they have information relating to the fact that Sri Lankan government was not involved in arranging the professionals from Sri Lanka, including Dr. Seniviratne, Chief Judicial Officer at Kandy District Hospital. Reports are emerging that this whole thing was conducted as an underhand deal through the Maldives Police agent in Sri Lanka.
