Maumoon is the traitor

Maumoon is a cunning leader, a dictator by all measures. He destroys people who became a threat to his rule by defaming them and accusing them of attempting to overthrow him, which incidentally is linked to the national security. This is the absolute truth.

Maumoon must now do the righteous thing and step down. He must realise that we will never stop fighting for our rights. The number of opposition to his rule is growing by the day.

I call upon all Maldivians to stand up for their rights, denounce this government and join us in this endeavour to protect our rights to live peacefully, without fear and intimidation. Maldives belongs to all of us; with equal rights and prosperity for all.

People are very angry. I am strongly advising them to divert their energy to inform the people to stand up against this regime and denouncing any form of violence.

We are not alone in expressing outrage and hatred towards this regime. There are thousands, scared to add their voice.

Maumoon! I believe time has now come for you to step down. For over 25 years you have culled our hopes, ruling us with absolute fear.

Furthermore, we demand the immediate release of all political prisoners. Especially those affiliated with Sandhaanu and Naushad Waheed. I urge you to be compassionate and be mindful of this generation.

You have lied to us and undermined our constitution, time and time again. You are the biggest traitor Maldives has ever seen. We will not accept anything but your immediate resignation.
