Maldivian Graduates Facing
12 Years of DEBT!
Many students who studied under the third World Bank
training programme are today facing 12 years of debt on
top of their seven year service period to the
government/country. On average, students would have
worked in the government or private sector for 3-4 years
after completing Advance Level to get scholarships under
the scheme. This means that the graduates will be paying
student debts until they are at least 37 years.
